Memories of times past in liquid form

Last night, I decided to finally treat myself to a bottle of Linie Norwegian akvavit at the Wine Castle. It was kind of pricy ($30-ish), but it's good stuff, and I've not been able to find it before. (Danish akvavit, yes, but that's not the same thing). I used to get it as a side order to a beer pretty often when the Trolltech guys went out to the bar back in Oslo.

Man, that stuff hits hard. I didn't actually have very much of it, but I guess it doesn't go well with sherry. I'm a little fuzzy-headed this morning.
